The boundaries which define life and death are at best shadowy and vague. Who shall say where the one ends and the other begins.
Edgar Allen Poe
Many people wonder why we would worry about furthering our education and resumes as paranormal investigators. We don't get paid to help people and we spend a lot of money on equipment and on the opportunities to be able to investigate historical locations.
While it is true that we do not make money investigating and helping people with their home situations, we do have other opportunities to money. We can write books, write articles for a news site, and even speak at conventions and other events. While that may be a good reason to think to beef up your resume, even by getting an AWS Associate Certification. Working with Amazon and having the skill set to work with their web services is a growing need. We all do our own websites, so that is a needed skill. I have another reason to put in your back pocket. I believe that no matter what we are doing, we should do our absolute best and always try to learn new things and get better. Wouldn't having a project manager certification be a nice addition to your paranormal resume? When I first joined the team I began with, I was utterly surprised at the things I've been trained in that were very useful to my team. I once took a course on the difference in the major world religions and their cultural etiquette. That came in really handy. I also had many years of website design, but being able to work with Amazon Web Services would have been a wonderful addition to my skill set. You can get help with this certification and lend your voice to AWS Certification. My next project is to get a project management certificate. The reason for this is that I enjoy not only helping to plan events, but I love being a consultant for people who are starting a paranormal team. Having that certificate would be wonderful to help with those projects. Another reason you may consider certifications is if you need part time work to support your life as a paranormal investigator- I know that travel and equipment is expensive. Having an AWS Tier 2 Speaker Certification would allow you to do that and even work from anywhere. You could spend your extra time converting text to speech. Many people don't understand how our professional selves and paranormal investigator selves overlap in the skill department.

Recently, I have been interviewed twice on the WGOG morning show to talk about bigfoot. They have been having Bigfoot Thursdays and it has been really interesting not only sharing my research and theories, but talking with other researchers and listening to their theories and experiences as well. The only way we are going to grow in the field is to share with each other and get out their. Think for yourself and you may just be the one to figure it all out! We have also been helping to promote the Bigfoot Festival coming to my hometown- Westminster, South Carolina. Right in the Golden Corner. I'm so excited and hope to see you there! Come find me if you venture our way.
For some time now, I have been studying and researching child hauntings and child-related phenomena. I have even started doing consultations. My goal is to give parents the tools to help their children deal with the paranormal and unexplained of all kinds.
I also research the phenomena that is child-related, such as black-eyed kids, child ghosts, and more. There is very little actually known about these things, but I strive to know more. If this applies to you or your child, I would love the chance to talk to you and help you. I would also like to hear from you if you have had a sighting. I am currently writing a column on IMustBeHallucinating.com relating to this called Monsters Under The Bed. This is a "Dear Abbey" type column, and I am working on a book. I will only use your story with permission. Even if you do not give permission, I would still like to chat. I would like the opportunity to expand my research and help you. Since I was a little girl, it seemed that the strange would follow me wherever I went. I quickly became fascinated with the things that most people called strange; but to me, it was a part of every day life. When I was older, I started learning about the things that happened to other people and found that I wasn't alone. The very strange quickly grabbed my attention and I was hooked. Since becoming a paranormal investigator, I have seen and heard about my share of strange.
Some are very strange ghost encounters, some are odd cryptids and strange lights, while others are seemingly unbelievable, like missing time, abductions, and even endless highways. Has something that you cannot explain happened to you? Would you like assistance with this, or just like to share your story? Do you just need to tell someone what happened to you? I am here to listen. Melissa George and I are currently working on another book together. This will be a collection of true tales that are of the unexplained phenomena. We would love to include your story, and can even leave it anonymous. Just email me at [email protected] As I have mentioned before, I am working on getting a podcast going.
